Archimedes was a philosopher, physicist, engineer, mathematician, and a scientist. Archimedes built weapons of war for King Heiro during the war with the Romans, such as a claw that capsizes ships and using mirrors to burn ships. Archimedes also developed Archimedes' Theory, and demonstrated the effectiveness of levers and pulleys to the Greeks. Archimedes also wrote many books about his life, theories, and inventions that he created throughout his life.
